Deepika Padukone is the timeless beauty on Vogue

Her beauty looks timeless on the Vogue cover, July edition. That’s why Deepika Padukone ’s cosmopolitan yet Indian looks make her the most sought-after belle for the covers of celebrated fashion magazines.

And here she is again in a different avatar. Deepika has worn Dolce Gabbana spring 2009 collection gown with white flower embellishments all over it, making the costume this “seasons’s most romantic dress”. Deepika’s 1940s classic hair-do and make-up will not make us forget that vintage is in vogue. She carries this retro look with elegance and panache.

But another similar Dolce Gabbana dress was last seen on Diana Penty, the brand ambassador of Maybelline, on L’Officiel March 2009 edition cover, making the Vogue one common. This is not the first instance of such similarity. It seems magazines are really running short of outfits.

Deepika treats everyone like family

That was Deepika Padukone’s sentiment on the last day of shooting for Love Aaj Kal.

And guess what, the actress had gotten so attached to the junior crew members that she took them — including the assistant directors, production assistants and costume team — for an impromptu dinner. Around 15 of them went out to a hep Delhi restaurant, famed for its Italian fare, where the terrace had been reserved exclusively for them.

“It was a very informal thing. All of us are of the similar age group and we got along splendidly while shooting,” says Deepika. And they sure had a blast. Deepika recalls saying, “We had been together for so long during the shooting that we had become like a family. And the dinner was absolute fun. We spent the evening remembering the time we spent together, laughing at internal jokes and spilling secrets.” Hmmm, mind letting us in on some of the secrets Deepika? We are sure they will be most interesting.
